With their desire to relax and spend time with both families before the big day, Alisa and Daryl planned a darling, May wedding in Corolla that embodied breezy, beach elegance. From the bridal bouquet of romantic peonies and ranunculus, the flowers by Honeysuckle Events, were the focus, accented with pink, navy and gold embellishments. With Alisa's drama-free dress and the entire celebration being a botanic affair, this Outer Banks Bride Magazine wedding, captured by Natalie Heim Photography, has left us shorely smitten.

From the Couple...
How He Asked: "Daryl and I were going to dinner one night when he mentioned he had to return home because he forgot his wallet. As we pulled up to the house, the local high school marching band (led by his sister) came around the corner playing one of my favorite songs. As the song ended, the band parted to a banner asking me to marry him! Obviously, I said yes! To my surprise, our family was watching the entire thing!"
Why They Chose the Outer Banks: "We wanted to get married on the Outer Banks because it was the first place we ever vacationed together! When we went, we knew right then and there that someday, somehow we would be married there. It was really everything we ever dreamed of, shared with 65 of the people that mean the most to us!"
Wedding Inspiration: "Gold everything! I mean we were spray painting everything gold...from fruit to oyster shells! I wanted something "beachy" but on the fancier side. With the help from all of our vendors, we definitely nailed an elegant beach theme and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out."
Favorite Wedding Memory: "Even though I showed up 15 minutes late and him wait, our first look was very memorable. Seeing each other for the first time is by far a feeling we don't ever want to forget."
