With the 117th Anniversary of the 1st Heavier-Than-Air flight by the Wright Brothers, the Town of Kill Devil Hills annual firework show took place this past Thursday at Avalon Pier. If you missed the live stream, don't worry! The full firework display can be found below.
The Outer Banks Wedding Association has been hosting We Do! Sessions with our vendors here on the Outer Banks. Different creative vendors teach us how to do something and we ask them follower submitted questions. Check them out on our Instagram TV Channel @obxwa

The Village Table & Tavern is hosting: A Swingin' Singin' Extravaganza featuring the Tillet Sisters beginning at 4pm. The 2-hour festive set includes bonfires, warm adult & kid-friendly beverages, seasonal crafts, s'mores and other festive snacks. Visit their event page for more info.

Twiddy & Co. with the OBX Running Company will be hosting their Outer Banks Jingle Jog beginning at 8am. The races vary in length and are great for the whole family. There will also be a photo-op with the one, and only, Santa. Visit their event page for more info.
Come out to Dowdy Park from 9am-Noon to finish up your holiday shopping and support local artisans.

Open Status
Beach driving is back in Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head until April 30th, 2021. Beach permits are available for purchase at Kill Devil Hills Town Hall by appointment only. Call (252)-449-5338 to arrange an appointment. Nags Head permits are available at Nags Head Town Hall or at all tackle shops in Nags Head. Permits issued in Nags Head are accepted on KDH beaches and vise versa. Seasonal permits are $25 and temporary permits are $10, which are accepted for 14 days. Drivers license, proof of insurance and registration are required to purchase.
The Ocracoke Campground at Camp Hatteras National Seashore is to remain open year-round. All 136 campsites are open to use. Reservations can be made at www.recreation.gov
Cape Hatteras National Seashore beached will open to permitted off-road vehicles 24 hours a day if no sea turtle nests are nearby beginning on Tuesday, September 15th. Permit and Access information can be found at .
