2015 Outer Banks Bride Magazine: Maritime Merriment
Shying away from the traditional beach wedding, Amy and Dennis enhanced the natural beauty of the Pamilico Sound using lush blooms by Bells & Whistles, elegant decor and pops of silver. Judging by their contagious smiles, you would not have any idea it poured rain on the day of their Hatteras Island wedding. Recently featured in the 2015 Outer Banks Bride Magazine, we are thrilled to share more pretty by Genevieve Stewart Photography with you!
Amy and Dennis's Story:
Wedding Date: June 27, 2014 Color Palette: White and Silver
How He Asked: Amy gently reminded Dennis that she was ready to get married by singing Beyonce's "Single Ladies" around their home. One night, Amy was greeted by "Single Ladies" blarring throughout the house with a line of rose petals that read, "Will you Marry Me?" Amy was so excited she hardly remembers what Dennis said - thank goodness he recorded the whole thing for her to watch later!
Favorite Wedding Day Memories: "Looking back and realized everyone had traveled at least SEVEN hours to witness our special day," recalls Amy and Dennis.
Advice For Future Couples Tying The Knot: "Hire a wedding planner! By fair it was the best money spent," says Amy. "It truly eased out minds knowing we had someone on the Outer Banks we knew the vendors, knew the locations, and could point us in the right direction."
