2016 Outer Banks Bride Magazine: Vineyard Vows
Wanting to share their love for the Outer Banks with family and friends, Sarah and Joe enlisted the help of An Outer Banks Affair and planned a dream-worthy destination wedding where the ocean meets the vine. Gold tablescapes and bountiful blooms, created by Renee Landry Events and The Flowery Gallery, illuminated quintessential vineyard elements of their Sanctuary Vineyards affair. The amazing talent of Matt Lusk Photography brought Sarah and Joe's vision to life, and you'll see exactly why their wedding was featured in the 2016 Outer Banks Bride Magazine (order here!) below!

From the Couple...
How He Asked: Sarah though she was surprising Joe with an amazing 30th birthday trip to California when in fact she was the one who would be surprised! She packed his bags and booked a trip to San Francisco and Yosemite National Park in May. Joe didn't know where he was going until they arrived at the airport. Joe had bigger plans for the trip and was preparing to propose! One the second day they tried making it to the Golden Gate Bridge, where they ended up taking the wrong route. Instead, they were dropped off six miles from the bridge and started the long walk. About 10 minutes into their adventure, Joe got down on one knee and popped the question!
Why They Chose the Outer Banks: "The Outer Banks was Sarah's childhood family vacation location and her favorite place to spend time. Joe fell in love with the relaxed feel and kind people of the Outer Banks when he visited. We knew we wanted to introduce all our friends and family traveling from afar to the area. It truly is a one of a kind place to visit!"
Wedding Inspiration: "The inspiration behind our wedding was the we wanted to have a laid back, but class and fun event for all of our favorite people in the world. We wanted god food, good music so that everyone would feel comfortable dancing and just have a great time! Sarah loves the romance of the day and wanted glitter and flowers to really glam up the venue. We both love the outdoors so we wanted an outdoor ceremony."
Favorite Wedding Memory: "Our first look was incredible. People told us that it is an amazing moment, but nothing prepares you for that single moment when you see each other for the first time alone. It's such a special moment to see each other dressed up and reflect that you are about to get married! It was such an exciting, loving and special moment for the two of us."
